Benefits for Employees of Jones Regional Medical Center
We are proud of our qualified and knowledgeable employees. To show our appreciation to our employees for providing quality services in an efficient, cost-effective manner and promoting healthy lifestyles to our customers, we offer the following benefit package:
Medical Plans
We offer three medical plan options to all benefit eligible full-time, part-time and WEP staff who work a minimum of 16 hours per week:
- IHS Health Savings Plan
- IHS Network Plan
- IHS High-Deductible Plan
These plans are administered by Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Prescription drug program is administered by Catalyst.
Dental Plans
We offer dental benefits through Delta Dental of Iowa. Premiums for coverage are shared by you and the company. You can elect single, employee+1 (spouse or dependent) or family coverage. Children are covered to age 19 or to age 25 if they are full-time students.
The plan includes dental coverage for regular checkups, cavity repair and tooth extraction, root canals and periarticular procedures, gum and bone diseases, high cost restorations (i.e. crowns, onlays, etc.), dentures and bridges, and coverage for orthodontia care for eligible dependents under age 19.
Vision Materials Plan
A discounted materials plan is available through Avesis, Inc. The plan offers discounts for glass frames and lenses or contact lenses. Premiums for coverage are paid by the employee.
Disability Insurance (Short Term/Long Term)
Short Term Disability (STD) Insurance
Short term disability coverage is income protection for when an employee is away from work for at least fourteen (14) days due to a non-work related illness or injury. STD coverage is provided by JRMC at no cost to regularly scheduled full-time and part-time employees averaging at least 16 hours per week. STD pays 60% of weekly earnings for a maximum of 26 weeks provided program requirements are met.
Long Term Disability (LTD) Insurance
Long term disability coverage is offered by JRMC to full-time and part-time employees who are scheduled to work 16 hours or more per week. LTD benefits are 60% of your monthly average pay with a maximum per month of $10,000 for qualifying disability following a 26-week waiting period. Premiums for coverage are paid by the employee.
Group Life Insurance
JRMC provides a $25,000 group term life insurance policy for benefit eligible full-time, part-time, and WEP staff. This benefit is intended to provide you and your family with a measure of protection from the economic consequences of death, accidental death or dismemberment, based on your employer's plan.
Voluntary Life Insurance
In addition to the group term life insurance, you may choose to purchase additional coverage for yourself (and possibly for your spouse and dependents, up to the program maximums. This coverage can be purchased through payroll deductions using post-tax dollars.
You pay 100% of the cost of this benefit.
Flexible spending accounts (FSAs)
The company provides FSAs to let you set aside money to pay predictable expenses with pre-tax dollars through medical and dependent care reimbursement accounts. Participation in the flexible spending program is completely voluntary. If you choose to enroll in either or both of the accounts, you will want to plan your contributions carefully.
401(k)
Eligible employees may contribute a percentage of their pay to the plan. The hospital makes an annual Safe Harbor contribution to all eligible participants.
Paid Leave
JRMC offers a generous paid leave plan that provides for vacation, sick leave, holiday hours and personal time off.
Bereavement Leave
Up to 24 hours of paid bereavement leave is provided to employees who experience the loss of an immediate family member.
Jury Duty Leave
We grant employees paid jury duty leave.
