The first session will be from 9-11:30 a.m. every Wednesday beginning on April 14 and the second session will be from 1-3:30 p.m. every Thursday beginning on April 15. The cost for the workshop is $20 per individual, or $30 per couple, for the six-week course. Each participant will receive a copy of the book, “Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions,” and a relaxation tape. Those who should consider participating in this workshop are those with chronic long-term conditions such as arthritis, heart disease, asthma, lung disease, emphysema, stroke, Parkinson’s, diabetes, cancer and other conditions. The workshop is also for a friend, caregiver or relative who would benefit from the problem-solving skills related to managing a chronic condition.

Hindman says, “The goals of the classes are to improve quality of life for those with chronic illnesses and their caregivers by learning self management skills.”
