We are pleased to offer our patients "same-day" surgery and endoscopy at Jones Regional Medical Center.

IV sedation is provided as an option to make sure that you are comfortable during your procedure.
Cataract Surgery
Dr. Lee Birchansky, an opthalmologist from Cedar Rapids, provides monthly cataract surgeries.
Endoscopy
Flexible endoscopy is available to you by Dr. Leon Qiao and Dr. Robert Keating. They can perform colonoscopies, gastroscopies and flexible sigmoidoscopies at Jones Regional.
Interventional Pain Management Services
Those suffering from chronic pain, irritation or numbness in the neck, shoulders, arms, back or legs have a treatment option in the Jones County area. Jeffrey M. Clark, MD, an anesthesiologist with LCA Pain Clinic, PC, in Hiawatha, conducts interventional pain management services at Jones Regional Medical Center on the first Monday of each month.
The clinic offers epidural steroid injections to decrease irritation around a specific area of the spine that affects other areas of the body. The epidural space is an area behind the backbone near the site where nerve roots pass. The injections have been shown to decrease pain, decrease swelling in nerve roots and speed return of function. The procedure usually takes between 15-20 minutes. The pain relief from the injection medication occurs gradually over a two-day to two-week period.
Dr. Clark attended undergraduate school and medical school and conducted his internship at the University of Iowa and did his residency at the University of California San Francisco, specializing in anesthesiology. He is board certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine.
