Specialty Clinics

Welcome to Jones Regional's specialty clinics. We are very proud to offer this service to our patients. It's not only a convenience for you to avoid that trip out of town, but we also feel that we can add "that personal touch" and hopefully relieve some of your anxiety about your visit. We are here to make sure you understand what your doctor has told you and also to help you understand what tests (if any) were ordered and why they are being done.

Do I need a referral to see a specialist? It's always best to start with your family physician and let him/her make that decision. For cataract surgery, you need a referral from your optometrist. You also may want to check with your insurance company, as a referral from your family physician may be necessary. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Outpatient Clinic Coordinator or Clinic Support RN for more information by calling 319-462-6131 or via e-mail to specialty clinics.

Outpatient Services & Procedures
"There's something about that one-on-one here. Even as an outpatient, they make a point to get to know you the minute you walk in the door. It's small enough here that you know them all by name, yet they're all very professional. You can tell they genuinely want to help you. They have really good communication. They make you feel so relaxed and comfortable that you can talk to them about your pain and not be embarrassed. If you can't do that with your caregiver then you're not going to get anywhere."
