Foundation

Purpose

The foundation's purpose is to support the hospital in its mission in the community of providing quality health services and promoting healthy lifestyles. The foundation, an IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, does this by providing financial support through procuring and managing gifts, bequests, and grants.

Undoubtedly, health care will always be changing for the better. This means the hospital will always be looking to improve the health care it can feasibly offer to the community. Jones Regional largely depends on the Foundation to help with these improvements. Through donor dollars, the Jones Regional Medical Center Foundation has purchased equipment, funded educational programs, renovated hospital departments, added new services, memorialized loved ones, and more.

Contributions

There are many ways to provide support to the hospital through the foundation:

  • gifts of cash
  • annual gifts
  • memorial gifts
  • honorary gifts
  • major gifts
  • stocks and securities
  • bequests
  • real estate
  • gift annuities
  • life insurance
  • trusts
  • other planned gifts

Donations are tax-deductible and donors may specify whether their gift funds a specific health care need or the general fund. The foundation' s board of directors applies general fund gifts to support hospital programs most in need. Gifts of all sizes are appreciated.

Donor Recognition

The foundation greatly appreciates donors' generosity. One of the ways it shows appreciation is through donor recognition. The foundation's donor wall shows donors' names at the level they have given over a lifetime. As donors continue their support and reach the next level, their names are moved accordingly on the wall. Donors are recognized at their current level in the hospital's newsletter.

Thanks to donors generosity, our community continues to have access to the latest technology possible for our area and well-trained staff at the hospital. Donors receive much satisfaction from knowing Jones Regional accomplishes great things with their gifts.

Sean Williams Elgin Lester, Lifeguard Air Ambulance Helicopter Pilot
Emergency Department
"The emergency room team worked together so well. They were prepared to take care of my immediate needs when I arrived. There wasn't a wasted motion in the ER. I was so impressed with the efficiency and the way the ER worked! As an air ambulance pilot, I've seen it all, and for a smaller hospital to have everything lined up and orchestrated so well, it was comforting to me as I was going through this. I was in a lot of pain, but they took care of me. I've always thought they did a great job here in Anamosa, but I really understand the true meaning of 'They saved my life' now."
- Elgin Lester, Anamosa, former heart attack patient at Jones Regional
